We are a digital ecosystem dedicated to decoding cosmetic chemistry. We translate raw INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) lists into plain English, mapping specific active ingredients to the exact skin profiles that need them—and warning the ones that don't.
We don't do "sponsored star ratings." When a product enters the Glowwe Lab database, our engine and formulation analysts evaluate it across five strict pillars to generate the Glowwe Score (out of 10):
Does the product contain the right percentages of active ingredients at the correct pH level to actually penetrate the skin? We check for fillers vs. functional ingredients.
We flag common irritants like essential oils, denatured alcohol, and known comedogenic (pore-clogging) esters that could disrupt a compromised skin barrier.
Marketing claims don't matter; peer-reviewed science does. We cross-reference ingredients with dermatological studies to ensure the product can deliver on its promises.
A great formula is useless if it pills under makeup or feels suffocating. We evaluate absorption, finish, and how well it layers in a routine.
Every product page includes a Reality Check. If a brand claims a cleanser will "erase wrinkles" (impossible, as cleansers are washed off before actives can penetrate), we will call it out.
